How does it work
It all starts with a Go Procure account...
Create an account
The first step is to create a Go Procure user account for your organisation. Creating an account is simple and free. We promise to respect your personal details and don't send any unsolicited email. You just provide us with your business details and some information about yourself, and we will send you an email with login instructions.
Multiple users: The first user within an organisation becomes a Go Procure administrator for your business. They are able to create user login details for other employees and assign additional account administrators. Go Procure doesn't limit the number of users per organisation.
Once you have an account you can host an auction, bid in an auction or join our business directory...
Host an Auction
With Go Procure you can host Reverse Auctions to buy, or Forward Auctions to sell. All our auctions follow a step-by-step process; once you create an account you can get started immediately...
- Set up your auction
- Use our auction wizard to select the type of auction, auction dates and add as many auction lots as required.
- Upload specification documents/images and configure how you want your auction to operate.
- Once Go Procure validates your request, the auction event will be created.
- Invite your bidders
- You can host a public auction where any Go Procure users can search your requirement and place a bid (provided you approve their request).
- You can host a private auction where you invite your existing preferred suppliers. Just provide us with their details and Go Procure will notify them of your request, and take them through the bidding process.
- Hold the Auction
- During the specified bidding period, bidders are able to place competitive bids in a real-time auction environment.
- The Go Procure system ensures a fair playing field for all bidders and we do not share sensitive information.
- All bids are legally binding.
- The lot times can be automatically extended to ensure all bidders get a fair chance to place their best bid.
- View the bids
- During and after the auction, the host has visibility of the bid values being placed.
- Once the auction is complete Go Procure provides the host with a detailed report of the auction results and the Go Procure fee.
- In the unlikely event a host decides not to progress with the auction award, pay-as-you-go hosts only need to pay the small flat rate hosting fee.
- Award to winning bidders
- Before the specified award date the auction host reviews the bidding and decides which bidder to award the lots to.
- Once the award is confirmed by the host, Go Procure informs all bidders. The host should then contact the winning bidder directly to complete the transaction.
- The host will be invoiced for the Go Procure fee, to be paid within 30 days of the auction end date.
Bid in an Auction
Bidders can be invited to bid or request to bid in an eAuction.
- Request to bid
- All Go Procure members can search public Reverse and Forward auctions for opportunities to bid.
- If you see an auction you wish to bid on, simply click 'request to bid' and the auction host will review your details and accept or reject your request.
- Invited to bid
- Auction hosts can invite their current contacts, or use the Go Procure directory to request that a bidder participates in their auction.
- If you receive a notification and you are not an existing Go Procure member we will have set up an account for you. You simply need to validate the account using the instructions in our email.
The bidding & award process
- Review Auction Details
- Businesses who receive notification should review the auction specification details carefully.
- If you have any questions you can use the Go Procure messaging tool to clarify these with the host.
- Pre Auction setup
- To confirm you wish to bid in an auction you should complete your pre-auction steps.
- During the process you can set up automated proxy bidding and agree bid limits. This will prevent you from exceeding your best price in error.
- Place bids
- Bids can be placed from the agreed auction start date/time until the auction end date/time.
- Use the bidding screens to monitor the auction progress, or sit back and bid by proxy up to your agreed best price.
- Placing bids is free, but all bids are legally binding.
- The Go Procure environment limits the risk of fraud; therefore you can be confident competing bidders are genuine.
- Await award
- Once the auction is complete the auction host will review the bidding and select the winning bidder.
- The host may take into account factors other than price so the best price at the end of the auction may not always win.
- On the agreed award date all bidders will receive email notification of the final results and will be able to view the auction report online.
- The auction host will the contact the winning bidder to arrange delivery, payment etc.
Use the Directory
- Directory Profile
- Once you have an account you can create a directory profile to advertise your business.
- The 'My Account' area allows you to upload your logo, contact details and information about the products you provide.
- The profile is searchable for all Go Procure members and on the Internet.
- For security, only Go Procure users set up as administrators are able to edit the Directory Profile for your organisation.
- Search for business
- Use the Directory and auction search facilities to find products/services for your business, build your B2B network and find new sales opportunities.
- The directory is categorised by market segment to make searching simple.
